I like to say I came out of my mother’s womb with crayons in hand! Growing up with her love for crafts and arts influenced my desire to create, illustrate and design.
It was the working experience in ad agencies and design studios that defined my career direction. In those 25+ years, lifestyle brands are what I have gravitated towards and enjoy working on the most. Creating beautiful, informational brochures for cruise lines for many years stirred the dreamer and traveler inside me. Working on consumer brands excited me knowing that it could bring joy or wellness to someone.
The desires of my heart is to create smart, engaging brand experiences that enhance, or even change, people’s lives. It could be a package design, marketing brochure, website or even Powerpoint presentation. Seeing those results gives even more meaning behind what I do. Of course, my main goal is creating design my client’s are proud of, and that contributes to the longevity and sustainable success of their business.
Working independently since 2002, I’ve helped well-known companies establish, or refine, their brand experiences, such as Ritz-Carlton Rancho Mirage, Spoonfed LA, Schuman Cheese, International Bipolar Foundation, and Young Audiences of San Diego.
And from my past agency team work prior to 2002, I’ve contributed to projects and campaigns for major brands such as Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd, Kohl’s Department Stores, United Airlines, and Fry’s Electronics.
This does not mean that small or medium-sized businesses don’t matter to me. In fact, I treasure those kinds of working relationships due to the intimate, partnership-like setting.
Intuitively I know good design. Some say I’m a design whisperer! But you can think of me as your very own brand image stylist!
