LUXURY IS NOT A NECESSITY TO ME,
BUT BEAUTIFUL AND GOOD THINGS ARE.

–Anais Nin

I love this quote from Anais Nin because it resonates so well with how I define my business, and even my life.

Hi there. I'm Pam Brown, the owner and graphic designer of Joie Luxe Studio, in my 17th year as a solo creative. My design background is a compilation of starting my career fresh out of college in Milwaukee, WI at a few ad agencies designing publications; to working as a layout artist in the art department of Kohl's Department Stores; and then the big move to Tampa, FL honing my skills as a graphic designer for international cruiselines accounts at one of the largest ad agencies in the Southeast. Years later, an even bigger move to planting roots in San Diego and flourishing as a branding designer for my own clientele.

Lifestyle brands are what I have gravitated towards and enjoy working on the most; from logo designs, brand identity systems and guidelines, to website design and development, marketing materials, conference materials, package design, powerpoint templates, infographics and more. I love creating the whole brand experience!

Think of me as Your Brand Image Stylist. You wonder, what does that mean? From our discovery sessions together about your business, your goals and vibe, I create design aesthetics that make your brand shine to your target audience, your tribe. I'm involved 100% every step of the way, working in partnership with you – because your success is my ultimate goal.

Pam has been the lead designer for International Bipolar Foundation for over three years. She is professional, timely, and her level of creativity is exceptional. Pam has produced our marketing brochures, fundraiser invitation packages, speaker luncheon invitation packages, and business cards.
— Debbie Brown, International Bipolar Foundation, Director of Operations

READY, SET, GO!

You've made up your mind to to start the process, but what's next?
How does it all come about? How long will it take?

Good questions! The first thing is to have your company name and domain registered, followed up with a business plan with your mission, vision, objectives, and goals. These are crucial elements needed in order to proceed with designing your brand image.

The process of creating a brand image is {fairly} simple when it's broken down into steps.

RESEARCH & DISCOVERY – the who, what, when and how are defined.
STRATEGY – putting that knowledge into an actionable plan.
DESIGN – where ideas take shape, style boards, concepts, wireframes.
IMPLEMENTATION – establishing and application of the brand guidelines
LAUNCH – website and social media go live, materials are printed
SUCCESS! - not overnight, of course!

Pam Brown is one talented senior graphic designer! She created brand guidelines for one of our new projects and we were all extremely impressed. Her work is creative and cutting-edge. Not only that, but Pam is easy to work with—flexible and responsive to our changing needs.
